“I have always loved stories—stories that bring people together, help someone better understand the world around them, and give meaning to what an organization does. It was this interest that led me, over 20 years ago, to build a career in communications, striving to tell stories with clarity and purpose.”
I have always been drawn to stories — the ones that bring people closer together, that help someone make better sense of the world around them, that give meaning to what an organisation does. That interest is what led me, more than twenty years ago, to build a career in communications, working across companies, industry bodies, universities and cultural projects, always with the same aim: to tell things clearly and with purpose.
I’m André Rocha, an integrated communications consultant with over two decades of experience in corporate, institutional and editorial communications. Throughout my career I have conceived, managed and developed content, reputation and brand projects for public and private organisations, foundations, universities and media outlets.
I hold a Master’s in Digital Society from NOVA University Lisbon, a postgraduate qualification in Corporate Communications from Faculdade Cásper Líbero, in São Paulo, and a degree in Communications, specialising in Journalism, from Universidade Mackenzie.
My experience spans leading multidisciplinary teams, content direction, public relations, editorial production and the curation of educational and cultural projects. I have worked directly on creating and establishing multimedia platforms, institutional magazines, commemorative books, exhibition catalogues, podcasts and events with national and international reach.
One of the defining chapters of my career was at FecomercioSP — the federation representing the trade, services and tourism sectors in the state of São Paulo — where I served as Content Director (2013–2015) and Communications Director (2016–2019), leading several teams and areas of institutional communications.
I remain connected to the Federation today as content consultant for the UM BRASIL and Revista Problemas Brasileiros platforms, working on content curation, institutional narrative design and engagement with specialists, business leaders and public officials, as well as developing national and international partnerships.
Alongside this, I am the owner of Rocha Comunicação Integrada, a boutique communications consultancy through which I provide strategic advice focused on high-value content, institutional positioning, education, partnership development and social impact — supporting organisations and projects in building their strategic positioning and structuring communications initiatives with a medium- and long-term view.
I have lived in Lisbon, Portugal, since 2022, and I’m in São Paulo regularly. If you’d like to know more — or to arrange a coffee — do get in touch.
